Funding Assistance
There are numerous options available to families who are looking for assistance in helping pay for costs incurred to have their children play sports. In all instances, we ask that you apply early to ensure the funds are available long before the season starts to help with administration and delays that can be involved.
Kidsport Saskatoon

- KidSport Saskatoon reviews applications on a monthly basis. Application deadline is the end of each month.
- Applications are due at least 30 days prior to the start date of the activity as it takes a month to process - apply early.
- Funding per child per calendar year to a maximum of $500.
- Recommended for hockey registration fees that applications are in by June 30th to avoid delays.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart

- Will cover costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation.
- Children can be funded for successive seasons up to a maximum of $300 per activity (subject to Chapter discretion and/or local demands).
- The annual maximum is $600 (subject to Chapter discretion and/or local demands).
- Online applications may take 6-8 weeks to be processed so please apply early.
Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund

Memorial Cup Legacy Fund
The Memorial Cup Legacy Fund is intended to help with the secondary costs of minor hockey: Team fees, travel, and equipment. Additional information is available through SMHA: Memorial Cup Legacy Fund
