Bobcats Goaltending Program 2026-27

1️. Goalie Development Sessions

The Bobcats Zone has arranged six (6) Goalie Development sessions with Focus Goaltending for all U7A–U13B goalies. These one-hour sessions are free of charge and will be held Sundays at Jemini Arena.

Session Dates:

• October 18th – 9:45 AM
• October 25th – 9:45 AM
• November 1st – 9:45 AM
• November 8th – 9:45 AM
• November 22nd – 9:45 AM
• November 29th – 9:45 AM

✅ Spots Available: 16 goalies per session
✅ Cost: Free
✅ Location: Jemini Arena
✅ Note: Goalies are encouraged to be excused from team practice if these sessions overlap.

2️. Goalie Development Funding

Each Bobcat goalie (U11 and above) has access to up to $1,250 in development funding to support their growth and training.

Eligible Uses Include:

• Private goalie lessons outside of regular practice
• Goalie development camps
• Inviting a recognized goalie instructor to a team practice

3. Goalie Pooling Concession

Hockey Saskatchewan has approved SMHA's Goaltender Pooling Exemption (#108) for the 2026–27 season, allowing goalies to affiliate with multiple eligible teams across all SMHA zones to help address goalie shortages and maximize development opportunities. Goalies must not be signed to individual AP forms, as doing so removes them from the pool for the remainder of the season; all placements must follow approved eligibility guidelines, with the goalie's home team taking priority.
